A leading affordable homes provider has selected Vale Southern Construction for two refurbishment projects.
The work will be carried out simultaneously at residential schemes in Portsmouth.
The first project will see Vale Southern re-roof and repair two adjacent blocks of flats in Gosport, each spanning three storeys. The second project involves the external refurbishment of a two-storey block of retirement homes in Cosham. Existing timber balconies will be replaced with steel, and new windows, doors, gutters, facias, soffits and fencing installed.
Simon Jones, Senior Construction Manager at Vale Southern, said: “We will be delivering these refurbishments while the buildings are occupied, so minimising disruption is crucial. Our programme has been designed to maximise efficiency and safety while ensuring all residents are kept informed of the works.”
The contracts build on Vale Southern’s extensive experience of the residential sector which ranges from refurbishments and extensions through to bespoke, new build homes.
The team is scheduled to be on site for 16 weeks in Gosport and 12 weeks in Cosham.
